The #1 problem in production is "Version Control". The Promoter has Version 1 (from 6 months ago), the House Engineer has Version 2 (from last week), and you are on Version 3 (created yesterday). Chaos ensures.

The "Live Link" Advantage

Using a service like Rider Forge allows you to send a single "Live Link". When the venue clicks it, they always see the latest version. If you update your input list on Tuesday, the venue sees the change on Wednesday without you sending a new email.

The PDF Fallback

However, internet fails. Especially in concrete bunkers (basement clubs). Always have a "Download PDF" button available on your link, or carry a printed copy. The Link is for Advancing; the PDF/Print is for the Day Of Show.

Watermarking and Dates

If you export a PDF, ensure it has a HUGE date on the top right. "RIDER - MARCH 2025". This forces the reader to check if their copy is current.
